Pink Firespike is a must have for southern butterfly and hummingbird gardens. This is an attractive, close and rarer relative of the red firespike, but produces long lasting spikes of pink flowers. It can grow from 5-6 feet tall. Its culture and landscape value is the same as red firespike in that it is a marvelous hummingbird attractor and a beautiful foliage plant when not in bloom. Blooms as the weather cools down in autumn and will bloom into spring unless a hard freeze knocks it down to the ground.
