LANDSCAPE VALUE: Japanese Iris are tall clump-forming plants that prefer moist, boggy soil during the growing season but may rot in wet winter soil so may perform best in a pot. They produce huge flat crepe paper-like flowers. ‘Variegata’ has striking green and cream variegated blades and large showy violet purple blooms and bright yellow signals in the center. It makes a great cut flower.
