LANDSCAPE VALUES: This Proven Winner beauty displays large, long-lasting, sterile magenta-pink tubular flowers with a burgundy or white speckled throat. Foxgloves behave more like an annual or short-lived spring biennial than a long lived perennial in our climate. For best success, they should be planted in late fall or early winter and in morning sun and afternoon shade or in dappled sun with no afternoon sun. These conditions should provide massive blooms that can be enjoyed late winter through spring. It also must be in a raised bed or a pot with good drainage and the soil should be rich and highly porous.
