Ponytail palms are exotic plants from the Asparagaceae family. The ponytail plant features a thick woody, palm-like stem. It can produce long ponytail palm leaves and is a seasonal bloomer, however it must be mature (10 years) to bloom. Its flowery blooms have a rather delicate appearance. The flowers are cream in color. They make great indoor plants and will enjoy being put outdoors in bright to full sun. Size will be relative to the pot. Water by-weekly in the growing season and monthly in the winter. Fertilize during the growing season only.
