Description
PERENNIAL/BIENNIAL/ANNUAL ZONE: 3 - 9 LIGHT: Sun/Part Sun HEIGHT: 5 – 8 ft. SPREAD: 1 - 2 ft. SOIL: Rich, Moist, well drained LANDSCAPE VALUES: Hollyhocks are one of the most desirable garden plants which have been grown for centuries. Their stunning tall spikes of satiny, crepe-textured flowers come in shades of purple, red, pink, white and yellow. In the South, Hollyhocks are best treated as biennials or annuals, planted in the fall for blooms in the spring. Although it may wither in our summer heat, hollyhocks usually reseed in the garden, providing plants year after year. Hollyhocks are susceptible to diseases and pests, so if rust is an issue, treat with a copper-based fungicide. Attracts Bees, Butterflies and Hummingbirds Deer Resistant ~ Drought Tolerant
