This is a tough plant that is drought and heat tolerant and makes a great substitute for tarragon. Blooming in summer to late fall, it is excellent for attracting migrating butterflies. Shear back to the ground in late winter or early spring. Divide plants by digging the clumps every two to three years. This plant self-seeds freely but is controllable.
