Description

Rudbeckia laciniata, commonly called tall coneflower, is a Missouri native perennial which occurs in moist soils in rich woodlands, thickets or along streams, sloughs or other bodies of water. This coneflower is a tall, erect and stately native with yellow ray petals accented by a green center held by coarse, hairy stems. Easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Tolerates hot and humid summers. Blooms in August and September. Excellent cut flower and butterfly magnet.
