LANDSCAPE VALUES:
Turk’s cap, named for the shape of its flower, is a semi-evergreen, root hardy shrub. There is a white flowered form and a variegated leaf, and a red blooming form. Ranges from the U.S. Gulf Coast region, to Mexico, Cuba, and the West Indies. The marble-size red fruit is enjoyed by a number of birds and animals. The flowers attract hummingbirds and several species of butterflies summer through fall.
