Landscape Values: Dramatic specimen plant. Stems grow in a tight spiral and are colored in shades of pink and purple with swollen nodes like a ‘Budda’s belly’! Spirally arranged green leaves have reddish purple undersides. Flowers appear at the tip of the stem as well as basally. Bracts on inflorescence are a bright crimson red. Blooms attract Hummingbirds.
