LANDSCAPE VALUES:
This South American flowering shrub becomes a perennial when temperatures drop much below 10 degrees F, but returns quickly from the roots. Despite dying to the ground, the woody stems return to reach 5-6' tall, covered with green willow oak-like foliage. In mid- to late September, the plant is smothered with 1/2" bright golden yellow flowers... a real show stopper as a specimen or in the perennial border.
