LANDSCAPE VALUES: Fluffy Ruffles Fern is a more compact version of Boston Fern with thicker foliage. It has overlapping fronds that are stiffly upright to about 12?, with ruffled leaflets, giving it a fluffy appearance. Fully grown, fronds can reach up to 3'. This fern thrives in indirect light. Ferns love moisture, so make sure they never totally dry out by watering as soon as the surface of the soil feels dry. Be sure to use room temperature water, as cold water may damage the fronds and roots. Ferns also need good air circulation, so the best spot for this fern is where it can spread out and relax away from other objects, plants and dry, hot or cold drafts. Fertilize Fluffy Ruffles Fern once every month between April and September, and once every other month during the remainder of the year.
