LANDSCAPE VALUES:
Garden dill "Hercules" fully deserves the name of an ancient hero, because it is characterized by strong vigour, health and productivity. It produces quite tall, strong, erect stems with numerous, long, feathery dark green leaves with a hint of blue. Strong fragrance of this variety makes it perfect for freezing and raw consumption in salads, as addition to boiled and roasted potatoes, soups, cold soups and sauces. Everyone loves the taste of dill, from "dilly" breads to tasty fish sauces, dips and spreads. Boughs of the attractive, ferny plant were used to ward off witches in the Middle Ages, and to crown Emperors in ancient Rome. It's historic, but really delicious, too.
