Rosy Maidenhair gets the name from the rosy color of the new fronds as the emerge. Zoned for the Houston area in shade to part shade, with moist soil. This maidenhair fern can take our acid soil much better than some of the others. With a sturdy textured frond it stands up to pets in the garden really well. Rosy also is one of the better ferns to be grown indoors as a house plant and can tolerate lower humidity better than most.
